Candy Land

Lollipops, sweets and sugar-bright colour. Built for cake smash sessions, where the backdrop, the outfit and the cake are matched on purpose rather than by luck.

What you will come away with

The frames we plan for on this set. Not a guarantee — children have opinions — but this is what we are working towards.

1

Clean portraits on the set before the cake appears

2

First contact with the cake, shot at burst speed

3

The moment of decision — many babies refuse, and that frame is better

4

Hands and face covered, straight on

5

Splash tub to close, bubbles and wet hair

6

Parent in frame during the inevitable intervention

What we would tell you about this set

Expect a third to a half of one-year-olds to want nothing to do with the cake, and plan for that to be fine. A baby poking it suspiciously makes a funnier series than a compliant one. Do not spend the week beforehand training them to like icing.

FAQ

Candy Land — common questions

Do you provide the cake?+

Yes, ordered to match the set palette, with egg-free or vegan options. Tell us about allergies on the enquiry. If you would rather bring your own from a bakery you trust, send us a photograph so we can build the palette around it.

What if my baby will not touch the cake?+

Between a third and a half of them will not, and the session is designed to work either way. A one-year-old poking a cake suspiciously makes a funnier and frankly better series than a compliant one.

How messy does it get?+

Very, and we handle it. Cleanup is included, including the child — the splash tub at the end does most of it. Bring a spare set of clothes and a towel for the journey home.
