Little Sailor

Navy and cream, rope, anchors and a wooden boat. Classic rather than novelty, which is why it ages better on a wall than most themed sets.

What we would tell you about this set

This is the set we suggest when a family wants something themed that will not look dated in ten years. Stripes and rope read as classic rather than of-the-moment, and it converts to black and white better than any other set we own.

FAQ

Little Sailor — common questions

Do stripes really photograph well here?+

On this set, yes — the backdrop is already striped, so a striped outfit reads as deliberate rather than clashing. It is the one set where we suggest it.

Will my child keep the sailor hat on?+

Probably not, and the shot list plans for that. The frames where the hat is askew or being held tend to be better than the ones where it sits correctly.

Why do you recommend this set for wall prints?+

Because it does not date. Rope, navy stripe and a wooden boat read as classic rather than of-a-particular-year, and the palette converts to black and white better than most.
