What you will come away with
The frames we plan for on this set. Not a guarantee — children have opinions — but this is what we are working towards.
Child lit primarily by the diyas
Full family frame — the point of a festive session
Detail — small hands near a diya, feet on the rangoli
Wide frame showing the full hanging set
Candid frames during setup, often the best of the day
Card-ready crops in portrait and square
What we would tell you about this set
Real flame and small children need managing, so the lit diyas sit above and behind rather than within reach, and there are unlit ones for the child to hold. Book at least six weeks ahead — this set goes up once a season and every family in Chennai wants it in the same fortnight.
Festive Diyas — common questions
Are the diyas actually lit?+
Yes, and they do the lighting. They sit above and behind the child rather than within reach, and there are unlit diyas for the child to hold. A handler stays within arm's length throughout.
How far ahead should we book?+
At least six weeks, and eight if you want cards printed. This set goes up once a season and comes down afterwards, and every family in Chennai wants it in the same fortnight.
Is the rangoli real?+
Drawn fresh for every session. A painted one that has been walked on for three months looks exactly like that in a photograph.
Want the Festive Diyas set?
Tell us your child's age and roughly when you are thinking. We will confirm what is achievable at that stage and hold a date — and if a different set would suit them better, we will say so.
