What you will come away with

The frames we plan for on this set. Not a guarantee — children have opinions — but this is what we are working towards.

1

Conducting, baton up, mid-gesture

2

Seated at the toy piano, hands on the keys

3

Sibling frame — one playing, one entirely uninterested

4

Detail — small hands on the violin neck

5

Wide frame with the music stand and sheets

6

The moment an instrument gets abandoned, which is usually the best one

From the studio

What we would tell you about this set

Children make noise with these instruments and that is the point — the frames where a toddler is genuinely banging the drum beat any posed version. Bring ear patience rather than expectations of a serious portrait.

FAQ

The Orchestra — common questions

Do the instruments actually work?+

Yes — a child-sized violin, a drum and a toy piano, all playable. Expect noise. The frames where a toddler is genuinely banging the drum beat any posed version.

Does it work for siblings?+

It is one of the best sets we own for siblings. One playing and one entirely uninterested is a photograph families keep.

What should they wear?+

Black, white and deep jewel tones. A waistcoat and bow tie, or a simple dark dress — formal enough to read as a concert without being stiff.
